If you had only read the novel "Barrel: Soul of a Migrant" you would realize how ludicrous this forced Indianization is. We need to forge our own path people.

Don't have a problem with people enjoying their culture but I don't understand the " India" part. This shows how separate people see themselves. You are a Trinidadian first, your heritage second. Mr and Mrs East Indian would be better. SMDH

Some of my black brothers seem to be offended by other trini tribes celebrating their heritage.Jealousy will get us no where mih bredder. If we follow the other tribes we can develop a liking for ourselves and not kill each other as we are doin in

It puzzles and amazes me that people in Trinidad particularly these so called people of Indian descent are congratulating about Miss India, this is ridiculous and shows the time warp some of these people exist in.

Why the hell are we having a competition named "Mr. and Miss India?" I don't have a problem with the cultural identification, but we are born Trinis, and we should treat our country with respect, no only in words, but action. We disrespect our home.

I don't think Ms India has what it takes to enter any international pageant representing TnT, somebody better do something about that before the girl makes us shame!

If the pageant was judged by 4 categories all worth 25% of the total marks... how did Haseeba win the pageant? She did not win any of the four categories and was not the most impressive looking contestant either! This pageant was bogus...
