Unbeaten Cobras, Expendables in C & B Windball finalThe curtain will come down on the Canaan/Bon Accord Community Windball Cricket League at the Canaan/Bon Accord hard courts on Sunday with the League Championship final, third place play off and presentation of prizes. Among the invited guests are assistant Secretary in Division of Education, Sports and Youth Affairs with Special Responsibility for Sports, Huey Cadette and Assemblyman Ronnie Quaccoo, Representative for the Area. Last year's beaten finalist, Expendables, the most consistent team in the four year old League that has never won the title will entertain the unbeaten Night Cobras and favourites for the title in the feature match while Westside Shottaz will engage Roxborough All Stars in the third place play-off from 7:30 pm. Prizes will be distributed immediately after the final. The feature match pits youth versus experience with the Night Cobras outfit boasting a number of Signal Hill Secondary School players in Ashworth Burnett, Kelon Lynch, Antonio Providence and Shaquille Duncan while the experienced Manningham Braznel, Joel Ramsey and Anthony Providence will be hoping to give match winning performances to lead Expendables to victory. |
