SSS not overwhelmed by Olympic Under 23 National team

Scarborough Secondary School (SSS) Championship Division team that ruled schools football in Tobago this year made a good impression on the Olympic team headcoach, Angus Eve, though losing to the much more talented and experienced Olympic Under 23 National football tem.

The Scarborough Secondary team lost 3-1 but they were not totally outclassed by the opposition though they were inactive since the culmination of the Secondary Schools League last year and only recently resumed training for participation in the National FA, so they were not really match fit. The Olympic team opened the scoring midway in the first half but their lead was shortlived as the speedy striker Christopher Morgan equalised for SSS seven minutes after, with a beauty of a goal.

However, inthe second half because of their inactivity, their condition began to wane and the Olympic team took control to score two more goals and triumph 3-1. While the Olympic team enjoyed more ball possession, SSS were very effective when they were in control.
