Quow triumphs in USA Track and Field US Open

Tobago's and Zenith's quarter-miler Renny Quow made an impressive start to his 2012 campaign as he began his preparation for the 2012 London Olympics.

Competing in the US Track and Field Open at Madison Square Garden, New York, last Saturday.

Quow outclassed the field in the 600-yard run that was the first in the 2012 IAAF Indoor Permit Series.

The 2009 World Championship bronze medallist who was trailing early in the race stepped up a gear and made a late surge to blow pass the field, crossing the finish line in one minute, 11.20 seconds ahead of American Bershawn Jackson - 1.11:31 and British Virgin Islands Tabarie Henry 1.11:75.
