Lambeau fc blank georgia

Lambeau FC, one of the teams that have been fortunate not to be affected by the spate of postponed matches in the Tobago Football Association competitions whipped Georgia FC 2-0 to move into fourth position in the battle for top honours in the Premier Division at Canaan last week.

Darion Moses and Alon Forrester scored second half goals to push Lambeau to 32 points from twenty matches, one point behind Roxborough Lakers in third.

Black Rock FC, that has languished in the relegation zone for most of the season, were unfortunate not to come away with a least a point in their match versus Stokely Vale in the first game of the double header.

Defender, Handel Noray, was livid to see his attempted clearance nestled in the back of his own net to hand Stokely Vale all three points. With Charlotteville Unifiers already a demotion casualty of the Premier Division, both Black Rock and Leeds would be hoping to escape the next automatic relegation spot and earn a chance for reprieve in the playoff.

Meanwhile, the battle for promotion in the First Division is poised for a grandstand finish as five teams are still in the hunt for the two automatic promotion and one playoff berths.

Only nine points separate them with seven matches remaining and with a possible 21 points up for grabs, the issue might only be settled in the final round.

Carnbee-Mt Pleasant, which has been in Youth Stars slip-stream for the entire season, edged a determined Calder Hall FC 1-0 behind a Dominic Roberts late item to stay one behind the leaders on 44 points. In the afternoon's second game, HV Milan registered their second consecutive victory when they edged Northside FC 2-1 with goals from Deon Orr and Kareem Campbell.

Matches scheduled for the Dwight Yorke Stadium, last week were postponed to give the management of the facility sufficient time to prepare the ground for the international friendly between Trinidad and Tobago Olympic team and Finland, that was played earlier in the week, (Wednesday).

Also, last Sunday's games between Signal Hill United and Calder Hall FC and Moriah Youths and Hills United were kayoed by inclement weather which rendered the Canaan surface unplayable.
