Lambeau FC steamroll Stokely Vale 4-1

The Tobago Football Association Football Premier and First Division competitions resumed last Sunday after the Christmas break with five matches.

In the only Premier Division encounter, Lambeau journeyed to Plymouth to take on Stokely Vale and came away with a 4-1 come from behind victory. Akeilon Murphy gave Stokely Vale the lead in the 16th minute but Lambeau FC battled back with goals from Alon Forrester and Sheldon Baker to take a 2 – 1 scoreline into the break. Daron Douglas then scored a double in the 81st and 85th minute to give Lambeau FC a well-deserved victory.

The win pushed Lambeau who are in their inaugural season in the league to joint fourth position as they join Taylors Rentals Goal City on 26 points from 18 matches.

Hills United picked the ideal opponents to resume their quest for promotion as they took on bottom place Mason Hall Police Youth Club (3 pts) in the second game of a double header at Canaan. Eustace Stewart, Keon Boatswain and Leston Winchester found the net for an easy 3-0 victory as Hills join Argyle Youth Stars at the top of the standings on 39 points but with an inferior goal difference.

In the evening's first game, Brindsley Reid and Curtly Ferguson scored to give Earlbrokes a 2-0 victory over Signal Hill United. The win enabled Earlbrokes to leapfrog Bethel United into fourth place on 36 points from 18 matches.

Calder Hall FC (14 pts.) started the second period of their First Division competition with a 4-1 victory over Moriah Youths at the Dwight Yorke Stadium Training Ground. Kareem Tobias grabbed a double while Garvin Richards and Cecil Des Vignes scored one each to give their team only its fourth win in fifteen matches. Omari Taylor was on target for Moriah.

H. V Milan also recorded a comfortable 3 – 0 result over Golden Lane at home in Dusty Park. The hero for Milan was Kareem Campbell who recorded the first hattrick of the new year. Milan lies sixth on the fourteen team table on 26 points from fifteen matches, eight points adrift of Bethel United who are in fifth place on 34 points.
