Fire Girls bomb out 75-21 by Frontliners

Two of the three games played last week in the Canaan/Bon Accord Community Netball League were blow-outs, while the third game was decided via the default route.

Favourites for the title, Matrix Angel, the only team with a consistent training programme in Tobago netball and boast a wealth of talent in players like crack-shot Rianna Alexander and defensive stalwart, Kennesha Smart never trailed against Silver Girls as they registered an easy 42-24 victory.

The other main challenger for the title, Frontliners led by Candace Wallace and including players like the fleet-footed Stacy Vincent, Camille Ramsey and Liselle James, showed no mercy to the hapless Fire Girls. They bombed them out 75-21 in a very one-sided match.

In the final game last week, Trail Blazers embarrassed the League as they defaulted their game against Joseph Trim Academy.

That game should have been the most competitive game of the week but only two players turned up for Trail Blazers and a question mark now hang over their continued participation in the League.
