Eleven Tobago athletes selected for Carifta teamEleven Tobago athletes have been selected for the National Carifta team that will compete in the CARIFTA Games in the Bahamas over the Easter weekend. They are double gold medal winner Mark London, Kuniba Stewart, siblings Atiba and Andwuelle Wright, Akim Phillips, Britney Bedlow, Chelsea James, Nicholas Douglas, Ron Wright, Edson Moses and Kenejah Williams. The events they are expected to compete in and the Clubs they belong to are London: 1500m and 800m, Stewart 110h, Phillips – javelin, Douglas – 100m and 4x100m relay, Wright – 100m – Zenith; Bedlow –discuss, James – shot putt, Williams – discuss, Moses – long jump and 4x400m relay-Falcons, Atiba – long jump, Andwuelle – long jump and 4x400m relay – Unattached. There are also two coaches from Tobago on the technical staff, Zenith's Gerard Franklyn and Jaguar's Althea Busby who are among three sprint and hurdles coaches. |
