Curtis Cox still a force

Tobago-born, Trinidad-based Curtis Cox, despite being in the twilight of his career remains one of Trinidad and Tobago's top road runners.

The veteran runner at 43-years-old showed that he is still a force to be reckoned with on the Caribbean circuit when he outclassed the field in the Nevis Half Marathon in Nevis on January 29.

Cox completed the 13.1 mile course in one hour, 17 minutes, 15 seconds to cruise to victory ahead of St. Marten's Steve Duzanson who crossed the finish line in 1:27:10, while third placed Aubrey McKenzie from Vietnam finished in 1.32:21.

One week earlier, Cox had finished second in the TTUTA 10K hosted in Trinidad. He was led home by Guyanese Kevin Johnson.

Congratulations, it just shows that if there were younger people training, there would have been a keene competition.
