Coaching School set early paceFirst they hammered Stokely Vale 5-0 with Anderson Taylor netting a hattrick and one each from Kino Proctor and Vernon Wilson. Later in the week, they were able to eek out a narrow 1-0 win over Roxborough Lakers as Proctor found the back of the net. Second place Georgia ( 15 pts.) had to come from behind to overcome a plucky Black Rock FC 2-1. Micheal Carrington gave Black Rock a surprised first half lead with a sweetly taken free kick before Kerron Phillips and Dwayne Marcelle responded for Georgia late in the second period. Third place Mason Hall USSS (10 pts) lost contact with the leaders after falling to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Taylor's Rentals Goal City. Akini Ferguson scored a double for Goal City while Daniel Eastman responded for MHUSSS. Goal City was the most active team playing three games during the week. In their second game they were blanked 3-0 by Sidey's as Ryan Gray celebrated his return to the team with two good goals while Kester Kent scored the other goal. Then on Sunday, Goal City returned to winning form with a 4-0 drubbing of Hills United. Again it was Akini Ferguson leading the way with a hattrick and Joel Harry netting the other. Hills United battled to gain a 3-3 draw against Leeds United in their second game for the week. Nigel Alexander (2) and Patrick Winchester found the net for Hills while Koreen London, Kelvern Morris and Kursyl Vincent netted for Leeds. In other matches played, Earlbrokes and Stokely Vale play out a 1-1 draw, Charlottevilee Unifiers and Sidey's and Leeds and MHUSSS all playing to goalless draws. |
