13-year-old Yohani Saul in T&T Golf Open

Tobago's most successful amateur golfer, Carlos "Sexy" Baynes who is now in the prime of his career is leading a small contingent of four golfers and the Trinidad and Tobago Golf Open tournament. The four-day event that is being staged at the St Andrew's Golf Course, Moka, commenced yesterday (Thursday) and will culminate on Sunday.

In addition to Baynes, professional golfer Carlos Beckles and youth players Kerville Cowie and Yohani Saul who is just 13-years-old will be in the fray.

Saul who is a very talented youngster should be in line for selection for the National Junior Golf team so he is using the tournament to sharpen his skills for the upcoming Junior trial tournaments, according to an official.

This tournament is the second major tournament for the year and golfers will also earn points for national selection for the upcoming Caribbean Golf Championships, later in the year.
