TUCO meeting abandoned

The meeting was scheduled for the Fairfield Complex to deal with the non functioning members of the TUCO Tobago Executive. However, the meeting was brought to an abrupt end when the injunction filed by the TUCO Chairman Ainsley King was served on the TUCO officials.

TUCO President Brother Resistance told the members gathered that TUCO was about calypso business and the injunction was about court house business and the organisation had no intention of defying the court order. TUCO General Secretary Wayne McDonald read the court injunction to those present. According to the injunction King accused the General Council of being discriminative by attempting to form an interim management committee excluding all members of the old TUCO Tobago Executive. Only two members of the seven member Tobago executive were functioning.

Both parties are to attend a High Court hearing today (Friday) at the Tobago courts on Bacolet Street.
