TOP to hold convention on May 6Several key positions would be up for grabs when the Tobago Organisation of the People (TOP) holds its convention on May 6. The party, which is headed by Ashworth Jack, will also be discussing several key issues pertaining to the governance of Tobago and the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly elections. Even though several members of the party's Executive will face the polls, Political Leader Jack will not have to, since he was given a three-year mandate at the last election. |

This article is quite vague. It seems to be an election during a convention. What are the positions to be contested? When is the political leader's position to be contested? When would his three year term expire? Is it an internal election like what UNC had in Trinidad?

Mr. Jack you may have done and are doing excellently as leader of the TOP but when it comes to the leadership of Tobago that's a horse of a different colour. Perhaps you can be a good or even a better leader than i may choose to think but i don't see that just yet. Nevetheless - by reason of time spent, it may worth the while to give you an opportunity to sit in the seat of power as Cheif Secretary. However - i think you are better at been the assistant to someone else.
