Our Boys joins with Panthers

Our Boys steelband which was left out of the National Medium Bands semi-finals will continue their Carnival campaign by joining forces with the Tobago Panthers who have qualified for the National Small Band semi-final.

According to Our Boys captain Anton Jack, "we will also be preparing for the THA Pan Champs competition and hopefully with a different judging panel we may come out much better than in the national preliminaries."

Jack who was a member of the former national steelbands is a crack shot bass player and he made it clear that "this year Our Boys will be entering all steelband competitions on the road; for the past years we have not played on the road on Carnival days but this year we are coming to mash up the town with sweet music."

The band which is scheduled to tour France in July/August has been receiving other offers for foreign appearances and its new management team has begun a massive overhaul of the band's operation. According to a reliable source from the band, "it is quite possible that Panorama competitions for Our Boys could be something of the past."
