Mom, 28, steals phone

Kinda King of Riseland Gardens Carnbee lost out on a job opportunity as she stole a cellular phone belonging to her intended employer, while being interviewed for a job at Maharaj Supermarket located in Scarborough.

Owner of the supermarket Halloon Maharaj was interviewing King for a position at the supermarket. When the interview was concluded Mrs. Maharaj observed her Motorola pink Razr phone was missing.

King, 28, was subsequently held and later confessed to stealing the phone. The mother of a three-year-old child appeared before Senior Magistrate Annette McKenzie and admitted being out of a job for some time caused her to steal the phone.

She was told to pay $4,000 immediately or face nine months in jail. –Elizabeth Williams

Re: James Frank Sir, quite FRANKLY you are showing yourself to be an uneducated utter fool not only in your disrespectful and distasteful comment which lacks maturity or credit-ability but your lack of proper judgement to type cast an entire population based on your bitter bigotry.

Ingrid, I agree with your comments generally as not all Tobagonians are thieves. There is good and bad everywhere in todays world. However,if this is Mr.Franks experience,he has the right to his opinion and express his concerns regarding any bad experiences he has had in Tobago, which after all has a very bad reutation as regards tracking down the perpertrators of serious crime.

To James Frank: As per your comments, then I will reply " not unusual because the majority, infact all James Franks are idiots". My friend that is how stupid and ignorant your posted comments sound to me. For what ever hurt or discomfort you experience in Tobago or by a Tobaagonian, I an truely sorry that this made you the person you are today....bitter and angry. It's time to heal because surely all this rage and hatred of ALL Tobagonians is unjust. I am a Tobagonian and my family too and we are not thieves and robbers, but educated, caring, giving and productive members of society. So pray to your God that your heart, body aand soul be at peace.

It's good she stole the phone and showed her dirty ways, if Maharaj had made the mistake and employed her, she would clean out his supermarket, one item at a time. Shame on you, you let down the Kings of Tobago.
