Good showing by Pure Players vs Shaq Attack

Pure Players went down to their more illustrious opponents 77-74 in a very competitive affair at the Mt. Gomery hard courts, last Saturday.

Pure Players started off nervously against their more experienced and talented opponents who have won all the major titles in Trinidad in the last two years and created a number of turn-overs. However, they eventually settled down coming close to the end of the first quarter and began to compete.

Led by Dextroy Manswell, a former Missouri State University Division One player who scored 18 points and the consistent Oral Belfon with 14 points, Pure Players pulled to within one at 75-74 with seconds on the clock.

However, Shaq Attack scored two free throws to seal the issue.

Shaq Attack coach, Gordon Felix praised Pure Players for their performance and shared some information with them on correcting some of their flaws which should make them more effective in the League, according to Pure Players captain Oral Belfon.
